At Canton Pediatrics, we strive to provide the highest quality medical care, while also being attentive to costs and the patient’s comfort.  We emphasize preventative care and healthy lifestyles for our patients and their families.  Our physicians and nurses also stress educating parents on their child’s health problems, so they can be active participants in their care.  We believe that every child is unique, and therefore demands individual attention and care.  We feel each child has the right to quality healthcare, proper guidance, a supportive, nurturing environment, and to be encouraged to reach his or her full potential. 

Specific Services Offered

Comprehensive Pediatric Care

                Preventative health care, including check-ups and immunizations, basic screening tests, vision and hearing screening, as well as sick child care.  We personally see newborns in the nursery at Aultman Hospital and Mercy Medical Center.

Adolescent and Young Adult Care

                We enjoy caring for patients in this age group, and are happy to provide continuity of care during an exciting, important phase of their lives.  This includes promoting a safe, healthy lifestyle, the avoidance of substance abuse, keeping current with adolescent vaccinations, concerns regarding sexual health and contraception, and behavioral concerns.

Prenatal Visits

                We strongly encourage prenatal visits.  We want you to be comfortable with the pediatrician you select for your child.  We can accommodate your schedule so you can meet us and our staff, see the office, and ask any questions you may have.

Endocrine Consultation

                Dr. Shirali is a board-certified Pediatric Endocrinologist and provides evaluation and treatment for children with growth concerns, thyroid disorders, obesity, diabetes and other hormone-related problems.

Children with Learning Disabilities, Behavioral or Developmental Concerns, and Psychiatric Problems

                We emphasize a multi-disciplinary approach, serving as the medical home and coordinating care amongst families, teachers and schools, specialists, and community resources as needed.

Laboratory Services

                We can perform a number of basic tests in our office, including blood, urine, rapid strep, and viral testing.
